Hoping for a dry morning, but expecting a downpour, the day brought a compromise. So it was in light but persistent rain that I jumped on my bike nd headed up to pick up Mr J's shopping list.
After a chat about how he is coping, his crosswords and model making progress, and the upcoming final of The World's Strongest Man competition, I headed off to Asda.
The store was quite busy, but I managed to make my way around the aisles quite quickly, and didn't even have to backtrack once!
As usual, I saw ex pupils and their families, so had a brief chat, managed to find a short queue, and was back with Mr J within an hour.
I left him planning a quiet, relaxing afternoon, as I headed of to my next shopping trip.
