Tidying Up in Hackney Downs
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Hackney.
- Sunday, 22nd of January 2017
On an icy Sunday morning in Hackney, two GoodGymers paid a visit to Mr and Mrs D's house to tidy up the shrubs in their front garden.
With Mr and Mrs D's warm welcome helping to combat the cold temperatures, Amy and Ben set to work pruning back some unruly shrubs, trimming out the dead twigs and branches and generally neatening the area up.
An hour later, a wheelie bin and two black bags were full of trimmings (including some particularity evil thorns) ready to be collected, and Amy and Ben were saying cheerio to Mrs D. Taking care not to slip on the ice patches, Amy headed back to Highbury & Islington, and Ben to Dalston.
