Totally Pristine Trans Pennine Trail
5 GoodGymers made their way 6.8km to help the SUSTRANS in Barnsley.

Another extended run was in store this evening for the 5 runners in attendance, with some epic hill climbs followed by a pleasant decent until we remembered we had to run back!
Dependable Daniel was back for more after last week and proved very useful in checking our route, although we were headed to a slightly different section of the Trans Pennine Trail. On arrival we were greeted by Dashing Damen who kitted us out with gloves, litter pickers (of a different kind to those most of us have used before, #GGgeeks) and bags and we set to work.
Litter Picking Lou was on fine form tackling an area just by one of the entrances while we worked our way down a stretch of the path to the next access point where we piled up our pickings for collection the following morning.
On the way back Super Sarah led the charge up the hills with some sprints and loops, and threw in a couple of pauses for us to regroup, making sure they weren't wasted by including some
- Tricep Dips
- Calf Raises
- Squats
With the final section of hill seeming to go on forever, lampposts off into the distance and marking the end of the hill, we took to some Fartlek training between the posts to keep us going but still save a bit for the down hill home. Marvellous Mairead smashing the last section of hill between the posts.
We finished off with some stretches as we walked the Boundary Way around the cricket pitch.
Thanks to everyone who attended tonight, great efforts up those hills!
