Un-der (water) pres-sure
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Newham.
- Sunday, 18th of March 2018
Snow and minus temperatures be damned, two North London GoodGymmers trekked down the river Lea and through Stratford to east London to scrape paint off Mr and Mrs I’s patio.
Picking up where a few GoodGymmers left off last time, we got to work scrubbing the paint stains with white spirit, leaving it to soak in whilst we had well-deserved cups of tea. After the white spirit had soaked in, we got going with brushes and chisels before having a proper go with a pressure washer.
With some fast-ish feet work to dodge cold pressure washer water from Graham as Frances put the paint stains under pressure, together we got about two-thirds of the paint off.
Overall verdict? Not bad in (literally) freezing weather! A better summer job, though!
