Shining bright in devilish red, the Brent branch of GoodGym delivered a mass of treats no tricks, in the form of several donated planks of wood to Harlesden Community Gardens on the spookiest night of the year.

The Queensbury Pub, our local Haunt was the perfect start to our spooky night. After greetings and welcomes to the newest recruits - Alexander and Tabitha and hearty hellos to the old crew on deck, we set out on our mission - An epic dash to Baker Road, where the glorious Gill awaited our arrival.

The task at hand was collecting a stash of enormous planks of wood that were being donated to Harlesden Community gardens for the construction of their allotment development. Donated by the lovely locals and ready for transport by our terrific team, it was a full community team effort to tackle the challenge at hand.

Like a bat out of hell we ran the 2 mile dash through the ghoulish streets of Harlesden, quite literally dodging ghosts and the walking dead along the way. Managing to make it to the pick up point unscathed and full team in tact - phew we set our sights on the challenge ahead. Lifting, loading, then launching ourselves into stage two - walking the plank, the last half mile to the gardens and Wood you believe it we made it splinter free.

Upon arrival our real life Angel Gabriel lit the way through the fright night darkness (with his torch of course) and we delivered our loads ready to turn on our heels and hot foot it back into the night.

But of course it couldn't be a real Halloween night run without some scares and to assist us in this, the local youths ignited our exit of Challenge Close with a series of street fireworks, yes that's right, burning, spinning, crackling fireworks across the pavements. Luckily my urge to stand and protect took hold and managed to lead the team, accident free, through the smoke, dodging the sparks and into the night. Feeling like we'd quite literally dodged a bullet, we raced on towards our final spooky spoiler for the night.......... Roundwood Park.... DA DA DAAAAAAAAA.

Huddled together tight, we raced through the foggy mist like a pack of werewolves, howling at the moon, through the darkened mass, towards the final frontier - Out of Puffington Hill. Knees up, driving the hips and arms pushing us on, the pace was rapid and determination fierce.

Once over the hill the moon lit our last mile, down to the high road, with safety in sight once more. We breathed a last sigh of relief as the final tricksters passed us by and with the warmth of the Queensbury awaiting, she welcomed us home again with open arms. YIPPEEEEEEEEE

With one hell of a crew, we ran, we tasked, and we the Goodies fought the badies on a trick laden, treat of an All Hallows Monday eve.

Until next time........ If you dare.

DO GOOD. FEEL GOOD. INSPIRE
