We returned to the Comfrey Project for the second time this week. The tasks this morning involved preparing envelopes to go out to the service users with vouchers for a local shop to wish them a merry Christmas and allow them to pick their own items.
I started off by addressing envelopes to the users writing Merry Christmas and drawing little stars, my favourite bit was definitely getting to use the comfrey project stamp at the end. Sam got the job of numbering all 300 vouchers. Tom was tasked with distributing the leaflet we put together on Tuesday night into all the parcels to go out. Once me and Tom had finished our tasks, we helped move some boxes into the shed.
Once Sam had finished numbering all the vouchers, we started the task of put them in the correct envelope and recording which voucher numbers each person was getting. This is so they can remind anyone who hasn’t used them to use them. We were very speedy, with me and Tom packing the envelopes and Sam updating the spreadsheet; we got in a rhythm and were done in no time!
Special well done and Happy Birthday to Tom who is so dedicated to come to volunteer with GoodGym on his birthday! (This may or maybe not because of the lack of anything else to do in tier 3)
