We're Never Too Tired To Do a Picker Lit
2 GoodGymers made their way to help the The wider Liverpool community in Liverpool.

There are two areas of scrubland outside of The Clifton Arms Pub in Tuebrook and the worst offender has been left untouched and therefore chocka with litter for years and nobody, not even the council seems to care. So, for the last plog of the January Challenge, which was really more of a slog as we didn't move more than a few feet, Matthew and Pauline collected four bags of detritus in just over an hour. It was great to see the reaction from locals and The Clifton Arms even gave us a can of Diet Coke (other brands are available) for our efforts. Whilst we did not finish the pick it looks so much better and hopefully people will notice the difference. With less litter and graffiti in the community it might just be a place where people become proud of to live in again.
A big shout out to Pauline, who has attended nearly every Good Gym task in January and amassed what must be over sixty tasks by now for the month.
If two people can clear so much rubbish in an hour, just think what a whole community could clear and what other jobs we could do to help others. Whilst it is great to pick litter and tidy up areas it would be so much better if the litter were not dropped in the first place so Good Gymers can spend time on other much more worthwhile tasks. We can but hope!
