Weed all about it!
8 GoodGymers made their way 11.0km to help their local community in Brent.

This week the Brent goodgymmers took it up a notch with a 7-miler – but would they be in seventh heaven or the seventh circle of hell afterwards?
The crew headed out to Alperton for some Alper-FUN. We were meeting Jay at the Third Wembley Scout Group to do some gardening and clearing of the outside areas.
Group members arrived at Willesden Sports Centre keen but a little nervous about the prospect of a longer run than usual but Ellie’s positivity buoyed us up as usual! As we gathered in the foyer, we heard all about her new health kick (who needs deliciously Ella when you’ve got deliciously Ellie? She’ll have a book deal and a million instagram followers before you know it).
We trotted through Harlesden, with local celebrity Rass being spotted within minutes by an adoring fan. Before we knew it we were gazing at the arches of the Wembley stadium and had made it to the North circular.
No one was running circles round Team GG Brent, that’s for sure!
We pummelled down towards Alperton and just as our legs were starting to feel the burn, Ellie told us we were here! “He said it was behind… behind something...” was Ellie’s sterling navigational advice. Thankfully after getting a pointer from a friendly man in a car, we located the scout hut the next road down.
Transforming into a gardener’s world-esque clearing dream team with our scythes and rakes, we got to clearing the areas around the scout hut. Rass was particularly impressive with his powerful power tools. After a solid amount of gardening IT WAS TIME...... We were heading back. Could we manage the whole 11k?
After some use of the GPS (“urban orienteering… is that just getting lost in a city?”) we were back on familiar Willesden territory.
Thanks to Ellie and everyone’s non-stop encouragement and the goodgym spirit, everyone made it back with a hop in their step. Isabell and Bodil (who’s Back for good by the way, and yes that was a Take That reference) completed the longest OF THEIR LIVES and Coralie the longest run she’d done in years. Seven miler = seventh heaven, for sure.
