With a litter pick of this and a litter pick of that and wave your bags, dum, dum, dum, dum...!
19 GoodGymers made their way 5.0km to help the The wider Liverpool community in Liverpool.

After a wet and windy weekend, the sun always shine on GoodGym Liverpool.
Our nifty 19 runners plogged their way around the Toxteth and Dingle border, covering 5km in their pursuit to keep our city clean and tidy. Along the way, 15 sacks of litter were collected. As usual, the highly curious "poo in a bag" was one of the most collected items. Dog owners, picking up the poop and THEN LEAVING IT actually makes things worse! All you've done is preserve the turd for eternity AND make more litter = not cool! Please look for a bin or carry it home and put it in your purple bin next time.
Some new skills were on display tonight, including running with litter-pickers, running with bag hoops and with sacks full of litter. Even up hill! This team can do it all...
We also had a little help from some little hands with children picnicing in the park with their families suddenly turning into Wombles upon the park's invasion by our red-shirted litter warriors. Very cute and helpful too.
Shout out to 2 brilliant newbies; hello and welcome to Roz and Craig. You did great tonight; hope to run with you again soon :)
For our fitness session, we took advantage of the outdoor gym equipment in the park. After testing our balance standing on one leg, we took to the balance beams, which proved challenging even for our steadiest of balancers. Then on the way back to base, we increased the speed but still picking as we went. Sort of like extreme litter picking, for advanced GoodGymers only ;)
Maximum effort tonight, well done.
Next week we're going to a task we've never been to and it is walkable! Find out more and sign-up here. And for chuff sake, please bring your gloves!!!
