On a chilly yet cheerful Saturday morning, the GoodGym team buzzed with energy at Thorlands Gardens. It wasn't just any gardening day – we had the pleasure of welcoming two vibrant new volunteers, Daisy and Will, who brought fresh enthusiasm to our regular crew of Sam, Maria, Nathan, and Mikhail. Simon, our spirited coordinator, was the day's hero, turning the task of laying woodchip into an unexpectedly fun adventure. The focus was on woodchip wizardry, and everyone dove in with gusto. Simon led a 'Woodchip Relay', turning the work into a playful yet productive competition. Laughter filled the air as we spread the woodchip, transforming the garden paths into a tapestry of natural beauty. Daisy and Will were at the heart of the action, quickly becoming part of the GoodGym family. Their energy was infectious, and their eagerness to learn and contribute added a spark to the day. As we wrapped up, the gardens not only looked fantastic but also echoed with the joy and warmth of a community coming together. Daisy and Will left with dirt on their hands, smiles on their faces, and an open invitation to return – a perfect blend of work and welcome at GoodGym.
