You've got to shape up
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Islington.
- Saturday, 11th of February 2017
Lucy and Bianca met on Saturday to help Mrs G trimming her shrubs on a snowy Saturday morning. After a warm welcome by Mrs G they moved on to the task.
Armed with of a pair of pruning shears, kitchen scissors and a rake they got straight to work, trimming down the bay leaf tree and 'the other bush' that neither of them know the name of. Happy with the look of the neatly trimmed shrubs it was on to bagging the garden waste and raking the front yard. After 30 minutes of intense cutting, bagging and raking Mrs G was waiting with a pot of hot tea accompanied by enough Victoria Sponge cake to feed an army. Mrs G had some amazing stories to tell and another 30 minutes later with bellies full of cake, the two runners were back on their sugar fuelled way.
