Six of us made our way up Anerley Hill tonight (it never gets easier...) to meet James and Teresa at the St Christopher's Hospice charity shop on the Triangle. Once there we sorted and steamed clothes, organised wall art, vacuumed and dusted to make the shop spick and span for Christmas shoppers. A couple of us even picked up our own bargains in the process!
Excellent work on our final group run of the year!

Off to a new task tonight, and we started by talking through our favourite trees or plants - a great variety of pretty ones, unusual ones or just a good reliable hard-to-kill spider plant.
As the charity shop we were headed to was very close by, and it was a chilly night, we valiantly chose to do a little uphill loop to get there, chatting all the way (okay, maybe a little puffing from me, too) and then the lovely downhill bit to reward our warmed-up selves.
Arriving at the shop and greeted by Wendy, we set about some organising, pricing and tidying of donation stock at the shop, getting loads done in the time. We also found some absolute gems there: a vintage Sean-Connery-as-James-Bond model, a very fine selection of fancy coats, and some bargain records.
It was our first visit to this branch of St Christopher's Hospice shops, but we'll definitely be back in the new year.

It was International Women's Day on Friday, so we kicked off by highlighting our favourite females. From Rosa Parks to queen Jacinda to amazing family members, we demonstrated that the best, most caring, and morally correct people are always women.
Next we ran up the hill to CP Triangle and our regular task at the St Christopher's Hospice charity shop. Teresa is always super grateful for our help and ability to give the place a quick spritz and blitz.
Adam was sorting odd shoes and found some serious labels with a price to match.
Cat was steaming through a rack of creased clothes.
Louise, Molly and Stephen and Kelly were making sure all the garments were ordered nicely and facing the right way.
James was hoovering the whole shop and Kelsey was dusting the shoe racks.
Hannah was on pricing duty, Clare was cleaning the counter and I was mostly trying to figure out the name of the teapot from Beauty and the Beast (see pic). Spoiler: it's Mrs Potts ๐
After a solid half hour we bid our farewells and made our way back to base with an obligatory wallsit en route.
Nice one team ๐๐ฅ

St Christopher's Hospice provide amazing end of life care to people across South East London and tonight's task was all about helping them to raise money for their FUN WALK fundraiser.
We jogged around a bunch of local shops, pubs and even a cinema, looking for windows and noticeboards to put posters up to advertise the event.
A few kms in the bag and hopefully some awareness raised! Nice job gang โ๏ธ

Tonight's run was to meet Teresa at the St Christopher's Hospice shop on Crystal Palace triangle.
We met at the Bridge House, named our favourite type of dog (there was a picture of a corgi in the window...) and set off up through the park.
We were joined by Hannah for a selection of different tasks:
โ Maxim smashed through the hoovering (see pic mid-lunge)
โ Hannah, Steve and Kate were sorting bags of clothes out the back
โ Nick and I were dusting and cleaning the shelves
We found some excellent items including a slightly oversized green jacket, the cutest little dress you ever did see and an owl shaped backpack.
What a hoot!
After a solid half hour's work, we bid farewell to Teresa and hit the road.
We did a nippy circuits session at Stone Penge in the park featuring some step-ups, tricep dips and press-ups before passing the set of THE GAMES in the National Sports Centre.
When we got back to base, Kate was impressively continuing her run ๐ฅ while the rest of us did a wee stretch.
Nice one gang! ๐ฅ

Tonight we were helping out local heroes St Christopherโs Hospice, spreading the word about their Fun Walk fundraiser.
We split into two groups:
โ ๏ธ The Poster Boys headed up to Crystal Palace Triangle (and may well have seen Gary Oldman in action?!)
โ๏ธ Whilst the High Flyerers ran to South Norwood.
Many posters and flyers were distributed to local businesses. Hopefully the Fun Walk is successful and St Christopher's rake in loads of cash for their amazing end of life care!
Top stuff as always, team! โค๏ธโ๐ฅ
