Our oldest and most popular task!
Vauxhall Foodbank provide short term food support to families and individuals in crisis. We help them out by sorting food collected from local supermarkets into categories and making sure it is correctly weighed. This task is the dream for all lovers of neatness and order. Feel the calm wash over you as all the tins get sorted and put away. The work we do here would take the voluntary staff hours to do by themselves. I assisted the dedicated Vauxhall foodbank volunteers in running their session today. It was another Goodgym achievement too

Many hands make light work. Today Vauxhall food bank received a smaller food donation than usual and had more volunteers than normal. However we all felt useful and enjoyed each others company, by working together as a team.

Today three Goodgymers assisted the regular Vauxhall food bank volunteers in handing out food donations to the local community. It was so lovely to be part of such a well organised service, with many individuals just taking what they need, and so appreciative of the the volunteers. However Vauxhall FB are always looking for morec volunteers to join ton Wednesday to Friday. Do sign up if you can.

Today’s task flew by! We managed to park and store all the donations in just an hour, and it felt great to see everything organised so quickly!

Today, the delivery van arrived after the session time however the team rolled up their sleeves and got stuck in, unpacking, sorting, and repacking a HUGE food donation delivery, in record time. .
