Four Goodgym members made there to Willowbrook care home to help with the gardening!
With the nights drawing in now , light quickly faded , some head torches required for the tasks soon !
Laura and Lil were pruning , cutting back and clearing up some of the bushes . While Nigel and myself cleared an overgrown patch full of weeds and cultivated and replanted some of the existing plants back in . All jobs completed for the evening for Willowbrook 🙌 !!

We all made our way to Willowbrook with some running, cycling and driving to the task. We were warmly greeted by Claire, who cheerfully laid out our mission: tackle a wild, overgrown planter, dig a hole for a palm tree, and tidy up under the apple tree. With enthusiasm, we dove into the planter, evicting those pesky weeds and prepping for the spring bulb party. James took on the Herculean task of digging through the tough rocky earth and emerged victorious, while the rest of us turned into apple-cleanup experts, gathering fallen fruit like pros. To top off our day, Jackie gave the apple tree a friendly nudge, sending a shower of juicy apples our way. We left with pockets full of apple goodness—deliciously done!
Excellent job everyone, the garden is looking so much better :)
Big shout outs to Lucy who completed 2 good deeds on her first day with GoodGym and Jill for completing her 10th good deed this eve (and also for motivating me to get off my butt and run to the task)

Jackie and Nigel joined forces with Claire at Willow Brook to give some well-worn planters and seating a vibrant makeover. They applied bright, weather-resistant paints to not only shield them from the elements but also enhance their visual appeal.
Great job on revitalizing the space!

2 Goodgymers walked and cycled to Willowbrook to help out with the outdoor space.
We cleared a pathway through the garden that was overgrown with prickly brambles and trees. The residents can now walk around safely and enjoy the bench at the top with a view of the garden below.
Managed to get some after shots of the paths looking a lot clearer and also spoke to the task owner about returning to paint some planters. She also wants to set up a garden club to show residents how much potential the garden has.
Look forward to returning soon!
