Bournemouth Report written by Bournemouth runner
We should be grateful it was dry this evening...but most of us would probably have been grateful for a little less wind chill and a task that didn't require us to use our bare hands!!! Seriously who organises these group runs, I'm going to send them a letter of complaint!!
Despite the chill 8 of us got together and did a flyer drop for YMCA Bournemouth to promote their PRESZZIES FOR REZZIES campaign where they are asking for donations for their supported housing residents who used to be rough sleepers. An amazing campaign!!
Brilliant to have Mark back with us again as well as Chloe who had missed the last few because they are busy bees! Lovely to have your smiling faces back with us!!
The gang ran in and out of houses and driveways, braved razor sharp letter boxes, dark alleys, and barking dogs....well only Grace managed to set one off....the rest of us must have been very stealthy??
Well done everyone! Hope your hands have warmed up by now!!! Remember next week is our last group run until the New Year. The first one back in 2019 will be on the 9th January!!
SEE YOU NEXT WEEK!!

Chloe Law has done their first good deed with GoodGym.
Chloe is a now a fully fledged GoodGym runner. They've just run to do good for the first time. They are out there making amazing things happen and getting fit at the same time.

It had been a long time since our last litter pick, so it was time to clean up the chines again.
We were lucky to have Daniela and Chloe come and join us for their first ever group run! Two lovely ladies who got involved straight away, chatting and being friendly with everyone.
After a run along the streets we headed to the first chine and ran down it....then we ran back up it because we are badass....or because I like the look on the gang's face when I tell them we're doing a hill run.... But they did it and survived!!!
On our way back down again we got into pairs and made a little competition of it to see who could fill their bin bag first or have the heaviest one....
Some of us were a little more competitive than others....Neil and I did manage to fill our bag all the way to the top....mostly because we found the local teenagers secret drinking spot!!! Jackpot!!!
We ran up and down a couple more chines but most were clear of rubbish....excellent!! We headed back happy that we had made a difference for another evening!
Lovely to meet new people, do some exercise, get some fresh air and make the world or this corner of Bournemouth a better place to live.
Well done all of you for coming along!! Hope you feel good about yourself....you should!
See you next week!!!!
