Duncan has listed their 5th GoodGym group session
Duncan has listed their fifth session. That means community projects have had an important helping hand, and a bunch of GoodGymers are able to get involved in improving their community. 5 stars.

There was a warm welcome for us at The Bricklayers Arms, where we had convened, this time not for the start of a DIY or leafletting task, but to take part in the quiz. Despite having 6 of us on the team, none of us were even able to answer the first question, "Do you have a team name?" And by the time the question master asked us a third time and we replied, "Not Yet." He took that as our official name.
So Not Yet were poised and ready to start. Fortunate that we weren't split up this time, we were hopeful that we could, if not win, at least not come bottom.
It was a great team effort, with everyone contributing in their field of expertise, or having a jolly good guess, and if Duncan hadn't talked himself out of one of the answers (at least it wasn't me this time), and if we hadn't generously allowed the neighbouring team a point for a question they had written too answers for (surely that's cheating?) we would have beaten them by a fine margin. We were never going to come first (there were some really hot teams in the other bar) but we did ourselves proud.
Fun night out, and looking forward to the next one.
Thanks to Duncan for organising.

In conjunction with a long term restoration plan by the Council's Parks team, the Luton and Dunstable Conservation volunteer team, and the Friends of Dallow Downs, the mission in the middle of our run this week was targeting litter in a neglected area of the Dallow Downs.
Previous conservation activity to clear the scrub in the wooded areas revealed a lot of litter in the undergrowth, we got in there supported by Kevin from ABCD-in-Luton with the equipment and foraged 16 bags of litter from amongst the trees. Also dragged out was some laminate flooring, several wooden pallets, a drawer and a traffic cone.
On our return journey we stopped by Brantwood park for a quick blast of sprint intervals to really stretch the legs before calling it a night.
