Full Moon Fever

Derby Report written by Derby runner

Gwyn and Tracey were runnin' down a dream by the light of the full moon at David Denton's Midweek Series races. Tracey said "I won't back down because we'll feel a whole lot better when we've finished".

Love is a long road, but Raynesway is longer. We both ran a mile, and then 5k. There was a face in the crowd cheering us on, our friend (another) David who was marshalling. Afterwards we felt alright for now, and are ready for future runs in the series.

Carry On Painting

Derby Report written by Gwyn Williams

Tracey and Gwyn met Ged, the very friendly and helpful hadyman at Micleover Memorial Hall to start painting the many windows. We'd been sent a video letting us know the extent of the job! We managed to clean, sand, replace some putty and undercoat three windows. There are many more to do and we look forward to going there again. This was G&T's second GoodGym painting task of the day.

Derby Report written by Derby runner

When Gwyn and Tracey last visited Mrs O, we cleared a lot of ivy from the fence. Unfortunately, there were trails left where the pesky plant had gripped the wood, and this looked unsightly.

Today, we were able to make a start on putting it right, painting those two marked fence panels, and freshening up a couple of others with a huge tub of paint, organised by Mrs O's daughter.

It was a lovely bright day for a bike ride, and the garden is a sun-trap, so we had a really enjoyable time painting in the warmth. We were especially blessed, as we didn't have to clean the brushes - this was done for us by Mrs O's companion, Miss B, who is a lady of many talents.
