Four Goodgymmers, Jo, Roger, Keith and Lea, turned up at the Pine Cliff Gardens today. The ranger and volunteers there needed some "strong people" to remove four Phormiums... oh they changed their minds , actually just two Phormiums. Right, that was done in no time, loosening the soil with forks, digging with spades and pulling with bodyweight! Then up in the wheelbarrow and thrown onto the garden rubbish pile. What next? Ah well, a dead bit in a hedge, one spade pushed in and out it came. Ok, what next?! Attack the budleia! Unfortunately the ranger had to go, so, even though we were getting a fair bit done, she asked us to leave it.... just as we were getting into the task!?!?! Oh well, no more tasks there as they will not resume their sessions till the spring. What a pity with such a beautiful background!
