A nice morning at the farm greeted the cheery goodgym folk. Of to the shed we went to pick up our tools and a dash to get a wheelbarrow. Today we cleared the willow leaves from the front and sides of the cafe area. Sweeping aside any Friday morning cobwebs are gut instinct led us to also clear the gutter of leaves. Thank you microbiome . After depositing the debris in the compost a final picture by Mr stick and off we went for a local coffee to slowly digest our way into the weekend

We met up with Bekki to help sort the already lovely NHS allotment out, confident that the weatherman had been telling the truth about the day's forecast. Unfortunately, the skies did open and a downpour did descend upon us, but we were not disheartened! With shovel, rake and pitchfork in hand, we got to work with and without the rain to help level out the ground ready for the polytunnel to be installed at a later date. We also helped tackle them pesky brambles who had taken deep root within the ground. We walked away confident in our efforts and more than a little wet.. We spoke with Bekki about the prospects of helping out again in the future, so until our paths cross again we wave goodbye to the allotment at the The Golden Hill Community Garden.

luckily it was not as hot as last week when "faster than speeding greyhounds out of the traps", 4 Goodgymers finished off the leaflet deliveries to make sure everyone in the area served by the community centre were aware of the reopening and the great sessions and support available. In just over 2hrs we had covered the remaining streets, including Lodge Causeway from the top to past the greyhound hound pub which gave us a great photo op! well done Ady Janka and Freya!
