We haven't always been lucky with our pick ups of leftover food from a bakery in Victoria which we then drop off to Under One Sky to distribute to rough sleepers. But last night they came up trumps!

Luckily Katie had cleverly brought with her several bags which we could fill to the brim with cakes, sandwiches and other baked goods. We were even furnished with a warm slice of pizza as we left! Not easy to navigate the busy streets of central London with that in your hand...

We soon located the UOS team and handed over all our goodies. It was good timing as the team didn't have loads to hand out that night and with the temperatures dropping it was more needed than ever.

Next week we're off to St Andrew's youth club to improve their storage space - what could be better than a toasty inside task to help out the oldest youth club in the world?!

Zoe & the gang were on top of everything by the time Kate and I met them at the Remakery. With transport already sorted and food prepped, we offered to help with the final bits of washing up, before sweeping and mopping up.

I hope that the carrot cake (as well as the other hot food) tasted as delicious as it smelled!
