It was back to the food bank in The Meadows for eight Goodgymers last night. Mark from the food bank soon had us organised and so we set to work. Hannah, Bozena and Aj set to organising stock. Meanwhile some generous donations meant a number of pallets where stacked higher than Peter so Matt (six at a time!), Scott, Tom and Kevin got stuck in to moving tuna, mandarin segments and rice puddings by the dozen upstairs. Some would say this was good Hyrox training if anyone had somehow got themselves roped in to one (not looking at Tom in particular!) but was definitely a good workout for everyone there!

Kevin Merry earned their community cape by completing their first community mission.
Kevin completed a community mission. Instead of watching TV or lying in bed, Kevin was out there making their community a better place to be. For making that choice they have earned the community cape.

Three GoodGymers headed to the Bobbers Mill area of Nottingham to deliver leaflets for the Windmill Community Gardens annual Pumpkin Party.
Leah, Rachel and new member, Kevin, met at 6.30pm and spent an hour dropping leaflets through doors in the local area. Thankfully we were presented with mostly short driveways, no hills and not too many gates, which meant that we could smash through quite a number of letter boxes in the hour - not literally, we can confirm that no gates or letter boxes were harmed during this task, despite Leah's past history with challenging gates!
The Pumpkin Party will take place on Sunday 26th October and promises to be a fun afternoon for all the family. If anyone fancies going along to help out, particularly with clearing up at the end of the event, see this task page.
