We had all GoodGym modes of travel in action with a walking group, running group and cycling group heading to Admiral Jellicoe House for our task this evening.
Continuing our work from a weekend visit earlier in the month, we had even more bright colours to help liven up the dementia garden for residents.
Emmanuel received an introduction to Priscilla, Queen of the Desert from Jen and Harry, as well as career and financial advice from our very own Richard and Judy!
Dave was distracted by a local cricket match taking place on the field behind the garden, luckily Val got him back on track by handing over the GG Red paint brush.
In just under an hour we covered 11 fence panels. Top prize goes to Andy for his precision work and perfect timing! Well done, everyone, what a wonderful, colourful evening!

Five of us tackled part 1 of a big makeover task for Admiral Jellicoe House, painting the dementia garden bright colours so the residents can use it and reminisce about their time in the Royal Navy / Royal Marines.
It was a lovely sunny day and the garden was quite the sun trap, so the beautiful boat seating area provided respite for weary arms, as did the lovely refreshments from the kitchen!
We made some progress with the fence panels but more coats of paint are needed and there are a lot more panels to paint, so look out for another task for this soon!

For the final leg of our Great British Spring Clean Relay, we were back where it all started - Bransbury Park!
After an initial scout of the pathways, we were drawn to the astro-turf pitches, where we filled a huge bag with bottles and cans for recycling, alongside another bag of general rubbish.
More exotics finds includes a pair of sunglasses (in about six pieces around the outskirts of the courts), a ruler and a jacket. The jacket looked forgotten rather than abandoned, so we hung it up to hopefully be reclaimed.
This pick brought our total for GBSC to 43 bags - over twice what we pledged! amazing work, everyone!

Three goodgymers enjoyed the beautiful park this lunchtime and filled 2 bags of litter which included a lone glove. A big welcome to Ayo for his first task! 😀
