Firstly, a massive thank you to Katy & Calum for leading the run tonight. Due to a back injury I couldn't run so I had to drive to the task... poor effort I know!
A big welcome to two new runners to GoodGym this week - Hugo and Swarupa.
There were several races that took place at the weekend so we had a recap on all the great achievements by our GoodGymers.
Catherine was back runner this week.
Katy also led the warm-up... some thought it was brutal... you've learnt well Katy :-)
The warm up felt like a proper workout
The task was gardening for the Ormiston Families Children's Centre in Lakenham, a 2.5km each-way trip via Lakenham Way. There was me worried would everyone get to the correct place under Calum's directions but it was me who go lost going in my car and everyone arrived before me!
The main task was to dig up a 3-tier flower bed with some general weeding and tidying up to do also.
As always, the team smashed through it all quickly. I had a set of Boccia in my car so we finished with a game of that in the car park before Calum and Katy led the group back to The Forum.
Next week's task is a Game's Night with residents at Redmayne View.

Mark has done their first good deed with GoodGym.
Mark is a now a fully fledged GoodGym runner. They've just run to do good for the first time. They are out there making amazing things happen and getting fit at the same time.

Another 2 new runners this week in Mark and Tanya.
Hayley reached the milestone of 25 good deeds!
We were visiting Catton Grove Community Centre this evening (our last visit was voted favourite task of the year) to do dome general tidying up around the outside of the centre. Linda from the centre greeted us once we arrived after the 3km run there, which Mel kindly offered to be back runner.
There were plenty of overgrown bushes and hedges so it was all about trimming those back... I tell you, this group are pros in trimming!
Everyone took on a different area to trim and 35 minutes later you'd be amazed how different the place looked - great effort everyone!
On the way back to The Forum we stopped for a little play in the park... Helen had the most amazing fall on the assault course - no injuries occurred.
It was pub time afterwards for some chill and social time.
