Crystal Palace Report written by Fiona (She/her)
Lovely to be able to run to, and complete (almost) a whole task, before it got dark. We started off meeting at the Bridge House, talking about the change of season as the clocks changed this weekend. Votes were mostly for spring and new life, blossoms, bugs, flowers, and how we're more likely to see new and returning people out on tasks now that evenings feel longer. We took a mini detour across Crystal Palace Park, watching people, dogs, and birds making the most of the weather, then arrived panting at the top of Anerley Hill to meet John and our other GoodGym taskers at the museum entrance. After pondering over whether Brunel might have tagged his work somewhere in the tower, we split into little groups - weeding, sweeping, digging and sorting rubble and rubbish from soil which can be used on local gardening projects. In fact, we learned how some soil from this water tower was used for a raised bench area in South Norwood Country Park recently. We all agreed that the best tasks (and to be honest, most of our tasks!) are the ones where we can immediately see the difference we've made in a short time :)

Tower Hamlets Report written by Emma (She/they/them)
Seven GoodGym enthusiasts met with Kamal at the Tower Hamlets Community Transport hub to support Ocean Youth Connexions prepare for a busy season ahead.
Danya, Emma, Hedley, Lobo and Oliver travelled round the corner from Felix Project and joined Ilana and Megan with sweeping, raking and shovelling earth into manageable moundsā¦ ready to be hefted round the corner to a large communal compost heap.
āļøWe heaped, we heaved, we laughed and got a lot done. Well done, Everyone!āļø
Weāll be helping Kamal at the hub again on Thursday 30 January.

Megan (She/her) earned their community cape by completing their first community mission.
Megan completed a community mission. Instead of watching TV or lying in bed, Megan was out there making their community a better place to be. For making that choice they have earned the community cape.

Lambeth Report written by Emma (She/they/them)
Three GGāers met at St Faithās to help GROAD set-up āOpen Houseā on a particularly cold Sunday afternoon in North Dulwich.
Once the team had their instructions, many piles of books, toys and accessories (including a neoprene wet-suit), shoes and clothes were unpacked, sorted and arranged in an easy-to-access display for customers.
Dan proved to be a clothes rail fixing power-house and got calmly stuck-in with helping straight away.
This was Meganās first GoodGym experience and Iām already looking forward to seeing her at more tasks and fun socials events soon. Welcome Megan!
