Leeds Report written by York runner
Six of us met up at Waitrose in Meanwood to get out there and spread the news about their volunteering, services and Veg Box offering.
We quickly split into pairs and each took an (inevitably) uphill road to deliver to and then aimed to meet at the top.
Carol & Rob undertook a scientific study as to the effectiveness of a silicone spatula vs the traditional wooden spoon when leaflet (I wood guess you can predict the outcome)
Good to see Mike back for his second task! and we even bumped into another GG Leedsie on route who's not been for a while so he's now gone off to keep an eye out for new tasks and we hope to see him soon!
50 or so minutes later we'd distributed 500-odd leaflets and all met back at the bottom of the hill - till next time!
*also, definitely not trusting me to take the photos next time...

Mike Wharton earned their community cape by completing their first community mission.
Mike completed a community mission. Instead of watching TV or lying in bed, Mike was out there making their community a better place to be. For making that choice they have earned the community cape.

Potternewton Park is looking a little tidier today following a Saturday morning litter pick by an army of Leeds GoodGym crew. As a group we collected lots of bags of litter, supporting Friends of Potternewton Park, who help maintain the green space.
Thanks to characteristic GoodGym enthusiasm and an awesome array of litter picking devices provided by the Litter Queen Liz, an hour was plenty of time to do the pick and ensure the park is clean and tidy for local people to use.
Thanks to George, Carol, Minnie, Ellie, Jenny, Liam, Tom and Liz, and GoodGym first-timer Mike, for yet another GoodGym job done this morning.
