Altogether now, to the tune of The Teddy Bears' Picnic
If you go down to the woods today
You’re sure of a big surprise
If you go down to the woods today
you’d better take plogging supplies!
For all the trash that ever there was
Is gathered there for certain because
The woods are where the litter bugs go to hang out
Litter pick time for GoodGymers
The GoodGym crew are having a smelly time tonight
Watch them pick up clothes and cans
On a litter pick in the Magdalen Wood
See them hunt for all the trash
They love to clean it up
They never leave any thing behind
Then plastic and bottles are bagged up and dragged out
And left for the truck to remove
Cos it’s home time for the GoodGymers.
Tonight's oddest litter finds:
A toy helicopter, 4 shopping baskets, sunglasses, a coat.

University Parks parkrun turned 2 today!!
A few goodgymers marked the occasion with a run, obeying the triple funnel rules and retiring for coffee and buns afterwards.
Congratulations to Oliver on his very first parkrun and welcome to Goodgym Martin!! We hope to see you again very soon.

We don't litter pick for the free pizza, but it sure helps!
Last night we set out to litter pick the Marston cycle path along Marston Ferry Road. It's an area which has been reported to us in the past so it has been on our radar, but this was our first attempt to clean it up.
With a full team of GoodGymers we were able to divide into 3 teams and fan out into different areas of Marston to litter pick. We sent a group out along the Oxford Road, another over to Marsh Lane, and the 3rd group headed up the cycle path. Although during our initial recce the area had seemed fairly clean, we were soon picking up plenty of fast food wrappers, cigarette butts, drinks cans, and even someone's airpods (which we will try to reunite with the owner if they ever dry out). Ellie's group win GoodGymers of the week award for litterpicking outside the pizza shop (very mucky) and getting gifted a large pizza as thanks - they were even kind enough to bring it back to share with the whole group!
Welcome to GoodGym Kim, and also Remy the pup!

Last night we stomped the streets around Florence Park delivering flyers for Oxford Mutual Aid. The OMA food bank are recruiting for more volunteers, particularly people to deliver food parcels, so we went house-to-house with their information leaflets. Hopefully they will have an influx of new helpers as a result.
It was a chilly night so we regrouped at The Jolly Postboys pub at the end to warm up.
Welcome to GoodGym Jonah!
congratulations on reaching the 10 Good Deeds milestone Imogen!

Four festive Goodgymers and Poppy the dog had a very pleasant jog around Blenheim Palace park followed by coffee and snacks.
The world was put to rights and occasionally the wind helped us up various slopes!
