Eight enthusiastic GGs met outside the cafe for a super quick warm-up. The team then set off for Citterhouse Farm.
Upon arrival, we were greeted by John, Anika and Lee and quickly set to work. Karen, Lee, Pete, Roberto, Sam and Samina began sweeping to ensure the ground was clean prior to the event on Saturday. Helen and Tabitha began the never ending task of watering. Liz built a bamboo frame for the sweet peas to climb.
Once the ground was spotless, the team began the run back to base for a beverage.

The famous 5 met outside Papagayo cafe on Monday evening. After a quick warm-up, the group sprinted to school.
At school they found a very untidy cupboard. The cupboard was full of junk including plastic bottles, boxes and kitchen roll holders, for the children to make models from. The famous five set to work stacking boxes, matching items to put into storage boxes and folding clothes. Tabitha even cleaned mouse droppings away! The room soon became a 'model' of how all school cupboards should look.
The group ran back to base for a round robin of stretches.
The Head Teacher was very happy with the 'model' GG team who had set an example of how the cupboard should look. Well done team!!

Helen, Liz, Pete, Samina and Tabitha met outside Papagayo on a chilly Monday evening. There was a quick warm-up before they set off on their way.
Sam and Roberto joined them at the task, where Leslie greeted the team. The task this evening was speed dating! The team wrote the best before dates in marker pen onto as many items as possible. Items which were out of date were placed into a separate box. Before long, time was up and the team ran back to Papagayo.
At the cafe, there were pizzas, chips and cocktails. The team thanked Helen for being an important member of GG Brent, for all of the tasks which she has completed. We all wish Helen and Zach the best for the future! Goodbye Helen. You will be missed!

Brent Report written by Tabitha Skinner
On a mild May day Bank Holiday numbers were down but spirit's were up as Tabitha Pete and Helen met in Willesden green, warmed up and ran 3km to our task.
We soon made it to Queens Park where goodymers Sam and Deborah met us ready to start delivering leaflets for Queens Park Community council. Their chairman John was waiting eagerly with a car boot full of leaflets, and a list of streets that needed leafleting.
We shared out the leaflets, and split the streets and set to work. Pete and Helen won bonus fitness points as they dropped leaflets to houses with doors alternating between up and down a flight of stairs. Sam, Tabitha and Deborah finished their first street in no time, and started on a second. John helpfully drove his car to regular meeting points so that we would only need to carry one box of leaflets at a time.
It wasn't long until we had delivered to all of our allocated streets, so we re grouped for a team photo, before heading off...some straight home and others 3km back to Papagayo for a well earned drink :-)
