Helped katie weed and re-plant the prairie garden along with Alyson from good gym, and a few other helpers who turned up. We stayed about 90mins , about half of which was spent weeding and then planting some new plants and grasses that were donated by merton council . It was both enjoyable and sociable , and the weather was perfect. One member of the public came and thanked us for improving the area and told us how much she enjoyed the community garden.

We had a perfect sunny afternoon for our second session at this community garden. It was great to see Jo and Steve again and we soon got stuck into some much-needed weeding around the beds and along the borders. The church is hosting its summer fair next weekend and so our efforts helped to make everything look shipshape. Oh, and we managed not to get too distracted by Toffee, the adorable pup.

Another group of volunteers completed the station induction at Raynes Park station this evening. We are now ready for action with whatever Friends of Raynes Park Station have planned for our next visit.

We delivered another 2 missions at Raynes Park Station today, assisting the Friends of Raynes Park Station. While a contingent of our finest were 'inducted' into the mysteries of station training, our seasoned veterans got straight to work: shoveling compost and embarking on a bucket relay up to Platform 3's planters.
We were rooting for extra hands post training, and wouldn't you know it, our timing was impeccable. Just as the trainees completed their session, the compost bag was emptied and the final bucket delivered to the awaiting planters.
Thanks to everyone who made it along - we really did prove that many hands make light work and have helped ensure the planters will be completed very soon.
