18 GoodGymers ran a strong 7k to Little Venice to help the Canal & River trust keep the waterways clear if contaminants by picking up 25 buckets of rubbish.
Amazing to have 5 GoodGym first timers along for the run!! Hope you all enjoyed your 90 Minutes of GoodGyming action and will be back for more next week for our Visit to St Andrews youth club!
Quick reminder for our special Treat no Trick Halloween group run on the 30th where we will bring along treats for Westminster’s homeless community and hand them out as we run around town. Sign up here.
On our longest run we do we managed to nail a top early rhythm clipping along the bright streets of Central London working our way North West to Little Venice and the Canal & River trust head office.
Grabbing our grabbers and locating a bucket each we headed West right the way out to the borough boarder to pick up as much stuff that shouldn’t be there as possible!
Filling our buckets with rubbish from the canal, pathway, park and from under a bridge or two and around benches we made a huge impact for the Waterways and everything the lives in and around it! Tipping the rubbish out in the bins before sanitising our hands and bursting back down the road heading back to base with a load of steps and distance in our legs!!
A top workout had by all before a relaxed gentle stretch out and we were away!
Thanks for such a fun session, see you all Again very soon!

13 Westminster winners ran 7k to The Ebury Estate to help with sorting the clothes donations for the local women’s refuge and Westminster’s Homeless community!!
Great to have Alex and Megha along for their first GG runs!! Welcome and hope it’s the first of many!!
Shout out for our special Treat no Trick Halloween run on the 30th!! Dress up if you fancy, run around Central London spreading the Halloween joy to Westminster’s Homeless!! All info here.
Weaving South down past many of the Capital’s most iconic landmarks notching up 3.5km as we made it to the Ebury Estate to meet Mike and the small team.
The clothing donations were all out waiting for us, we just had to go through them and create a big bag of baby clothes which was to be given to the women’s refuge on Friday and well as jeans, jumpers, coats, hats and scarves which were to be given out later Wednesday evening to the homeless community as they received their food at the soup kitchen.
Big piles of all the warm stuff packed into bags ready for distribution and baby clothes all folded away nicely we packed the rest of the donations back in the container.
With 10 minutes to play with we nipped into the kids park and set about a strong body weight conditioning circuit working the whole body in unison!!
Feeling strong we run back to base adding a little extra pace up the Buckingham Palace and then smashed the Green Park drag with some fast feet!!
All back stretched out on time, top session!! See you next week.

8 Westminster GoodGymers ran a super sweaty 6.5k to sort out the garden of One Big Family Homeless Charity in Victoria to get their garden ready for a charity Tea party on Sunday.
A lovely very energy informative run this week took us through the heart of Central London. Weaving our way 3k down to the Ebury Estate.
Meeting Mike and getting to see the award One Big Family received on Tuesday for Volunteer contribution to the Community of the Year in Westminster.
Getting ready for a charity Tea Party we were bringing all the flower pots through into the garden ready for the plants from Hampton Court flower show to be planted in them on Thursday.
40 plant pots down ready for planting and then we were on bottle duty creating a daisy chain to carry out all the bottled water to give to Westminster’s homeless community this evening.
With that done there was enough time to move the big container out and ingeniously move the flower trollies over to great space for it.
Then we were off, running back up to base Perfectly to be stretched out by 8!!
See you next week for our visit to Little Venice and the Canal Plog of our adopted river path.
Enjoy
