It was an awesome foursome last night, with three starting off from The Showroom Cinema and meeting Lan at the task along with other member of the Pitsmoor Pickers who had been hard at work ahead of time getting stuck in.

As soon as we arrived we had a local resident asking us how they could get involved which is great to see. We also had a local resident on the street we were picking join us which was great to see the local community coming out.

To be it you have to see it!

Hopefully be us regularly combining with the Pitsmoor Pickers more local people are seeing the work we are doing and could get more involved in keeping their own community clean. With passers by seeing us picking and the stickers on the bags once we are finished, hopefully this will also slowly change mindsets to reduce the amount of litter that is being dropped.

You may only turn a ship one degree, but over the course of a lifetime you can completely change it's destination.

Last nights haul had some interesting finds including:

  • A PAIR of shoes
  • Fire extinguisher
  • Hubcap
  • Traffic cones

Between us we definitely got a good haul and the streets picked were looking a lot better than when we arrived. Until next time, happy running :)
