A HUGE congratulations to GGSHF LEGEND Rachel for completing her 400th good deed!
Rachel donned the GGSHF cape and wore it in style last night as we headed just around the corner and up the hill from The Showroom to join our very welcoming friends at Common Thread.
With many donations building up we were on hand to help sort.
Labels were created and bags of clothes were thrown onto the floor for us to sort and sift through into categories ready for the next Common Thread event where people bring their own unwanted clothes to donated and swap them for a bag of clothes that they do want!
A great alternative to fast fashion and unnecessary consumerism.
We got through an elevator full of bags of clothes and said our goodbyes to the CT gang.
Some of us went to nearby food fave Mexican Street Food Chef to celebrate Rachel's achievements which was really nice!
Until next time, happy running! :)

The nights are most definitely drawing in with the need for head torches now ever present!
This was the last fish pass survey of the year, with the clocks changing soon, making it difficult to see the passes and if they are obstructed by anything.
We got to 3 passes last night and also had a further afield contribution from @James Smith who sent us some photos in the daylight from Meadowhall a bit further down the river. Thanks James!
Get your head torches charged up for the next one folks and we'll see you there!
Happy running! :)

On a delicious Mon evening in Sheffield we headed across town and uphill to Somerset Park to meet with the local legend that is Karen from Pitsmoor pickers to help this group keep the area litter free and sparkling.
We met with Karen and four other pickers including a new born baby and got tooled up with pickers, hoops and bags and got straight to it.
Cans were collected separately as Karen takes these away to get recycled.
Karen embraced her arty side and painted some messages, encouraging park users to bin their rubbish.
Once done, bags were collated, labeled and reported ready for collection by the council.
Until next time, happy running! :)
