A return visit to Ms S to construct two more furniture units - this time a shoe rack, and a smaller version of the bookcase that I'd built for her a couple of weeks ago (where I now hoped a bit of familiarity would be helpful...).

I started with the smaller of the boxes where the instructions on how to build the unit were so tiny, I had to take photographs of the steps and enlarge the image on my phone screen to work out the numbering and what it was trying to show me to do. Not all the pieces had been numbered either, so it took a while to get all the right items in all the right places and use the correct screws/bolts, but after a while it started to come together with the help of the trusty screwdriver.

Once that unit was completed, I cleared what remaining floor space there was to then open the second box and lay out the pieces to build the bookshelf. As promised by Ms S, this was a slightly smaller version of the same unit from last time, and having gone up the learning curve on that one, it proved a bit more of a straightforward task than the shoe rack (at least the instructions were legible - it was the lack of space that proved challenging!).

Ms S kindly offered me a tea break as I was getting towards the end of building the bookshelf, so we had a quick chat about her furniture/storage/tidying plans, and I enjoyed a cuppa and some very nice biscuits whilst giving my back, eyes, hands and fingers a rest.

With a quick tidy up of all the packaging, tools, instructions and the remaining excess screws, bolts, hitchcocks and Allen keys, I wished her a good evening and put the cardboard boxes into her communal bins outside.
