What a fabulous morning for 5 of our regular Goodgymers! 4 of them are preparing for Ben Nevis at the end of the month so when Gill suggested doing a 10 miler today with some hills included they were happy to join her... and Lizzy decided that although she wasn't able to come with us to Ben Nevis she would come along and support us on the walk.

We started at the sleepy little village of Aldbury and fortunately Martin resisted the urge to enter the village pond. Gill took the lead and managed to get us round the route without us getting lost. There was some lovely countryside including the Chiltern Hills and up to Ivinghoe Beacon, farmland, woodland, views of Pitstone Windmill amd Tring reservoirs and a lot more besie.

And of course we couldn't finish the walk without a final stop in the local hostelry for a well deserved beverage.

17.38km in 3 hours and 24 minutes - not bad considering we had time for a few stops along the way.

Looking forward to the next one!
