8 GoodGymers ran 5k to St Andrews Youth Club to lift, shift and order the storage garage.
A stunning Autumn evening in Central London provided a great setting for a feel good task with the Oldest Youth Club in the world!!
Weaving our way 2.5k South taking in some of the best views of the Capital we made it to St Andrews Youth Club for the first time in on a few months.
After a very welcome investor donated a new kitchen to the club the garage was in a mess following the building works as everything had been dumped in there while the kitchen was ripped out and new one fitted.
So we had a big job first clearing all the wired and wonderful items onto the street, sorting out what was for the bin and what needed a nice neat home!! We also had the boxing match of our lives where we broke down 40 boxes so that they could be taken away for disposal.
With everything on perfect (well kind of) order and the rest ready for the tip we got a little tour of the building all the activities that go on as well as the amazing 152 year history of the club.
With a Spring in our step after helping such an amazing institution we bounded back to base with a top session complete!!
Hope to see you all next week for another wicked Wednesday!
