A Great Global GoodGym Gardening Team
6 GoodGymers made their way to help the Maidenhead Community Allotment in Windsor and Maidenhead.

A great turn-out of 6 Goodgymmers at the community allotments. Georgeta heeded Amy's warning of wearing appropriate PPE in this gorgeous weather, looking very fetching in her sunhat and sunglasses. We welcomed Louise, who was touristing from Newham, and it was lovely to see Sol, Roberta and Jack too. We realised that we all originated from different countries, spanning 3 continents, so a truly global team First task was to fill some of the water butts, and empty others whilst doing the watering so that they could be moved. Roberta, Louise and Jack did a great job giving the beds a good soaking, and I was particularly impressed with Jack's double watering can technique. Georgeta, Sheila and Sol tackled the weeds in the flower bed, whilst discussing the differences between secateurs, shears and loppers. It was great to see the allotments thriving - it looks like it's going to be a bumper year!
