A swift shift
3 GoodGymers made their way to help the Ealing Soup Kitchen in Ealing.

As there was no food delivery from CityHarvest today, it's just snacks and hot meals for today. Emmanuella asked Steph and I to do the crowd control for today. We got ourselves a warm jacket and stood outside.
It was rainy and windy and after 7 minutes there were no guests. It was Emmanuella's first time doing the 6-8 pm shift. She was in the clothing section today. It's a very quiet day today as there were hardly 25 guests.
As there was so much food left over, Emma asked us to do a search around the premises and find some guests. Steph and I walked to the Sainsbury's nearby and came back.
There was a guy in a van asking if we could take the leftover food from the NYE party he celebrated yesterday. We declined the offer but he donated a bag of clothes instead. We got a surprise when we opened the bag. It was full of salt and very old clothes.
By 7:30 we started packing the clothes and each of us took a box of food as there were so many leftovers.

Wow, I've never heard of Mondays' Ealing Soup Kitchen being so quiet. Nice work modelling the hi-vis 🦺
