A beautiful sunny evening to join Friends of Shirley Pond park for a litter pick. While four of us litter picked, Helen got to help removing Himalayan Balsam which is an invasive species that is causing damage to river banks and native plants.
We welcomed Lauren for her very first GoodGym and she was even able to show us a lovely little trail for our run. It was fantastic to welcome back Amanda to her second session too. We cleared lots of rubbish and were able to make nearly a whole bike out of the various pieces we found scattered in the woods!
We were able to chat to lots of new people about GoodGym Southampton and even got involved in some filming for a local project. We look forward to visiting the park again in June to help with their next litter pick.
