Around the world with Ms W
1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Windsor and Maidenhead.
- Saturday, 11th of November 2023
This afternoon I visited Ms W in her care home. She was feeling a bit restless and, quite understandably, wanted to go home... I tried to distract and relax her a bit, so I started taking her through some of my photos I had on my phone. She likes that, I describe what I see and that helps her visualize it (nb Ms W is blind). That worked quite well, I "took her" to New Zealand, where I lived for a few years π³πΏπͺ΄π₯ Ms W enjoyed our little travel and I promised I'd take her to every country I have been to, and there are a few, so we'll be busy for a while! On my way back I bumped into one of our neighbors (see photo), such a lovely end to my social visit.

Amazing work Georgeta!
Brilliant work Georgeta. It sounds like you really helped Ms W. I can't believe that prickly friend was pottering around on the pavement! Do you see them often?
Hi Amy, I have resident hedgehogs in my garden, I feed them regularly, cat food is apparently good for them, my cat doesn't need to know... The other day I was tidying up in the garden and disc
overed the hiding place for I e if them. By the fence in the ivy overgrowth under a big pile of dry leaves... oops!
