AT LAST THE BRUSHES ARE OUT
4 GoodGymers made their way 9.0km to help their local community in Westminster.
- Wednesday, 1st of July 2015
Meanwhile in London on what I would say was the hottest, stickiest day of the year 4 brave souls doused themselves in ice cold water and headed south to SW1 Community Radio to start painting walls that we have spent months sanding and plastering.
For some strange reason everybody was out in the street so weaving in and out on the busy streets proved trickier than usual but never the less we persevered.
Swiftly through Green Park, past Buckingham Palace and a nice tempo down through Victoria arriving safe and sweaty.
We were greeted with pints of water which quickly disappeared. Strait upstairs and 30minutes of painting began.
Each of us took a wall and painted our way through whilst listening to the deep soulful house pumping out of the SW1s speakers.
As if by magic our 30mins were up, we said our thank you’ s and goodbyes to the lovely Danielle and we headed back intervaling our way back through the back streets till we arrived back safely at Westminster Uni for some well-deserved refreshments and high fives
