Bed, knobs and room ticked...
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Southwark.
- Friday, 16th of September 2022
When Mayuko and I arrived at Mrs D's flat, there was a discussion ongoing between the Red Cross representative who was there to give us access and Mrs D's daughter, who was also in the flat, as to exactly what needed doing...fortunately they all reached a speedy consensus that Mrs D's single bed needed to be moved from the living room into the bedroom for storage, and so we got to work.
With the help of the trusty Phillip's screwdriver to assist in removal of the knobs holding the headboard, and an unplug and removal of the mattress recline mechanism into its constituent parts, we soon had the mattress and divan stored on their sides in the bedroom as requested along with all the other bits.
The living room committee seemed very pleased with our efforts (and speed of work), and with all tasks completed and a happy audience, we wished them well for Mrs D's safe return home next week.
