Beleaf it or not, we were done in a jiffy
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Wandsworth.
- Sunday, 18th of November 2018
It was a beautifully sunny November afternoon for a gardening mission and Ms L gave us a very warm welcome. She showed us through to the garden and asked us to do various tasks. Becca got on the sweeping case and Samia got on the cutting back and plant watering tasks. Ms L has done such a great job at maintaining the pretty garden, that it didn’t take us too long to nip the tasks in the bud.
Once we’d bagged up the leaves, Ms L asked us to water a couple of indoor plants (advising us of their allocated genders in the process) and to cut back the (gender neutral) fern in the basement courtyard. She showed us all of the artwork that she does as her hobby, offered us tea and we had a lovely chat with her at the end, hearing about each others’ lives and backgrounds.
