Blinds and Roses
3 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Lewisham.
- Saturday, 7th of April 2018
We were greated by Ms S who walked us through to the back garden; and gave us a briefing of what she would like us to do! Ms S also asked for her rose bushes to be cut back. Having shown us where the tools were we got stuck into weeding and digging up the beds! Ms. S joined us in the garden and said she can't believe that we ran to her home and were helping with her garden for free! We explained that is what GoodGym is all about! Ms. S asked Stephen to help her change the blind in the kitchen! I pruned the roses and Juliet planted what I think were primroses? I'm no Titchmarch! We layed some compost; an hour and a half later we had completed our task! Leaving Ms. S in shock that we were planning on running back home!!
