Dodgy (doggy?) pun but it encapsulates today’s rove with Mrs B’s dog Molly, which took in bluebells in the grounds of Orleans House and some doggy paddling and litter picking by the White Swan pub on the riverside.
With thanks to the Council Litter Collector who arrived just as I was trying to fathom out how I was going to get the muddy rubbish to a bin without a refuse sack.
I was also delighted to come across an image of Emma Hamilton (with Lord Nelson) that I had been looking at a few hours earlier for work research. Serendipity. It was on a poster outside Orleans House, one of a series of mash-up prints by local artist Jem Panufnic that also decorate The Stables Cafe.
Wending home across Marble Hill Park, it was a stunning sunny afternoon to see the progress of ongoing English Heritage renovations and restorations.
