5 hardy GoodGym Yorkies braved the forecasted weather to help out the Friends of Danesmead Wood.
Elf Katie begun got decorating the trees and posing for an 'Elf on the Shelf' photoshoot before Craig went into Dad mode and corralled us to hear instructions.
Ellie, Katie and Mitch were set to the task of shifting sticks from one area of the park to the other to build a dead hedge, swiftly renamed as dedge by Mitch. Ellie likened it to a sophisticated version of a habitat pile.
Katie found a sock and declared herself a 'free elf', Ellie tried to use her bike as a multi-stick carrying device (mixed success), much pent up rage was exhausted through twig snapping, Mitch gave some very enthusiastic unintentional innuendos, and gradually a dedge was built.
Craig and Carl dug holes.
