Diggin in the Drizzle
24 GoodGymers made their way 5km to help their local community in Tower Hamlets.
- Monday, 5th of August 2013
- Led by Laura Williams
The rain was no contest for the GoodGym runners this evening as we squinted through the drizzle to Spitalfields City Farm.
We were out in force tonight - so much so that we worked harder and faster than jobs could be found - and got some really great tasks completed.
We split up at the farm, with half of us levelling the paths around the volunteers garden to make them wheelchair accessible. The other half hacked and dug away at some tough old soil to create a circular clearing in the garden.
It was all worth it though as we were rewarded with a fresh batch of chard and some tasty intervals on the way home.
