Done & dusted
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Richmond.
- Wednesday, 15th of January 2020
Mrs B is currently in a hospital 🏥 and about to come back to her home in Richmond. Lucy and Gosia’s task for today was to help in rearranging few things in her living room to make space for a hospital bed 🛏.
We arrived on time and were welcomed at the door 🚪 by Mr B’s husband. He led us to the living room and explained what needs to be done. Initially there were many more furniture to be moved (incl. knitting machine, settee, a couple of armchairs and a computer table) but these were already sorted by Mr B’s husband and their son. What was left was a heavier sideboard standing next to the TV 📺. Though it was quite heavy we were able to slide it 🛷 on the carpet and got it quickly right into the nominated place. Before we left, we helped a little bit with vacuuming to ensure the space is done and dusted, fully ready for the new furniture.
Mr B’s husband was very grateful for the help and was interested in donating. He seemed excited to welcome his wife 👵back at home and - just now, thanks to GG - he got one step closer to it 😊.
