Ever so cosy
15 GoodGymers made their way 6.0km to help their local community in Westminster.
- Wednesday, 18th of March 2015
With cold air coming in from North, 15 super humans joined forces and ventured deep into the unknown.
Our task this evening was to head 2 miles to Makerversity based at Somerset House and begin painting a newly acquired space that will be used as a hub for startups.
Just before departure I asked the group would you like to go the long way free from human traffic or charge down regents street elbows at the ready? Obviously we took the scenic route and arrived safely at a pretty pink neon door where the lovely Christina was waiting for us.
We were whisked down flight after flight of stairs and eventually reached our final destination. Some chit chat and a briefing from our host we were off. Brushes, rollers, paint flying all over the place in room no wider than you and I if we stood back to back. One word. COSEY.
30mins flew by and more than was thought possible was done. Following A flying visit from Mr Drysdale we left the way we came.
As it was later in the evening I chose to show the group the back way home at pace. Why? Because I know how much my GoodGymers love intervals. One rule applies as always, you only rest if you can't cross the road 😊. Holborn, Covent Garden, China Town, Soho Square, Tottenham Court Road, Great Portland Street and finally popping out by the uni, everyone smiling and sweating.
Great session folks... Thank you for coming...
