Flexing my arms in support of Brett’s alms
1 GoodGymer made their way to help their local community in Windsor and Maidenhead.
- Wednesday, 3rd of March 2021
- Led by Windsor and Maidenhead runner
I delivered bags of food to four needy families for the Brett Foundation who help those in poverty.
It was a timely experience, reminding me of what my son has been learning about recently regarding the giving of alms during Lent.
It was also a useful glimpse of the impact Brett, and sister charity Maidenhead Foodshare have on real people.
I was struck by some of the words of gratitude I received, and the experience itself made me think about all the things I’m grateful for.
