StephDucat cycled from home to ESK on a lovely sunny Friday to then spend the day with other volunteers helping out at St John's Church. First task was to take delivery of goods with Stephen down the ramps with trolleys. Then Steph went to the kitchen as was going to cook and serve food with Sabbah and his team. Alot of sheets were needed today in the kitchen : you are going to say what sheets? 🤣😂 Today, we prepared 5 trays of sheets....nope!!5 trays of Lasagna(3 beef and 2 veggie). Needed a lot of lasagna sheets for the 5 trays. Deserts were also baked during the morning ; 1 chocolate cake and 1 sponge cake with speculoos sauce. Mixed salad items were chopped for the main meal as a side dish. As Lasagna, we could not forget lovely home made garlic bread. Then Sabbah and Steph went to prepare a secret dish or recipe : it was so yummy that every person in the kitchen and service team came to taste and carried on nibbling during the service after 1pm. What was it ? Well its a secret recipe so we won't tell you🤣🤣 Here we go : as potatoes were cut for fries, we prepared a special batter and fried them. They were crispy and delicious : the team and the guests loved them and asked for more...
