Getting to the root of the problem!
2 GoodGymers made their way to help their local community in Barnet.
- Sunday, 30th of January 2022
- Led by Paul Salman
- The main objective was to dig up some test holes to find out where it is feasible to dig a trench to plant a new hedge (to cover a not particularly picturesque fence).
- The test holes project was not overly successful (too many bricks and roots!) but at least we found out that digging a trench was not the simplest and easiest option.
- It was a bit risky to hand Kaska a pickaxe but thanks to vigilant supervision by Gus ( Pauls dog) no one was hurt
- Arranging the heavy logs into a barrier was a fantastic lower back and upper body workout.
- Driving the wheelbarrow up and downhill was as fun as a motorbike ride through a hilly area but safer and more environment-friendly!
- As a result we left the place a bit tidier than it was when we encountered it this morning.
